THE NAMES OF “ILYAS AFANDIYEV INTERNATIONAL PRIZE 2007” LAUREATES HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED
The Prize consists of a miniature statue, diploma, and a monograph about Laureate. Reward Committee defines the Laureates, holds the presentation of the Prize to them, and carries out documentation.
Under the leadership of Mr. Bakir Nabiyev, director of Nizami Literary Institute of National Academy of Sciences, academician, Doctor of Philology and professor was held the meeting of Reward Committee to award of the prize on 5 the nominations.
The Members of the Reward Committee awarded “Ilyas Afandiyev International Prize 2007” Mr. Valentine Tsipko, the member of Writer’s Union Ukraine, translator, on the nomination “The Great Services Performed for the Propagation of the Azerbaijani Literature” for his great interest for the Azerbaijani literature, and the translation of its examples over 20 into the Ukrainian language and their propagation.
