THE PRIME MINISTER OF THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY

The laureate of the Ilyas Afandiyev International Prize of 2009, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the Ilyas Afandiyev International Prize is the embodiment of love and respect, generosity and gratitude to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to peace and democracy,science,education,society and mankind as a whole.He stressed that any cooperation in political, economic and humanitarian spheres must be supported by something bigger and more unselfish opening new frontiers not only for cooperation, but also for mutual understanding among peoples and peaceful coexistence, the symbol of which is the Ilyas Afandiyev International Prize.
