THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA

The award ceremony took place in Belgrade in 2012.
May 3, 2012 in the municipality of the city of Belgrade (Serbia) the award ceremony of “Ilyas Afandiyev
International Prize” in the nomination “For contribution to the development of peace and democracy” to the
president of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Boris Tadic took place. The award ceremony was attended by the official delegations from different countries, public, political, culture and art figures of Serbia and Azerbaijan. In his speech, noting the successful development of Azerbaijani-Serbian relations, Mr. Tadic thanked the leadership of the Ilyas Afandiev International Foundation for the appreciation of his activities, and solemnly declared that awarding him the Ilyas Afandiyev International Prize – is a merit of the whole Serbian people. He stressed that the award causes us to be accountable to our people, to work for the benefit of every citizen in the name of the world peace. Mr. Tadic assured that the Prize will take its rightful place among other honors, and will be a good memory for him.
